HOW TO FACE AN INTERVIEW Dress like you are a Pro - decide on the suit that best fit you, Professional appearance counts most especially in a prestigious company. Don’t forget the saying “your character depends on your look” make sure that you properly dressed. Cleanliness really counts.   Arrive on time -  Most of the employer are very particular of the time. You have to be there 30 minutes before the interview for you to dry run the possible question that they may throw unto you.   Relax -  You are about to test your courage confidence this time. Do some stretching and face exercise that you may not get tongue tangled during the answer portion. Smile -  This is the basic of all; smile and talk to them like you are just talking with your friends politely. Blind Story

BLIND STORY On our PPD session, we did an activity on story writing. This activity was special we had to get into 3 groups randomly and seated facing back to the white board. A marker was given to each group. We couldn't communicate with each other. The task was to write a story without talking and one person can write only one word at a time. 4 rounds were given to each group. The stories contained about 30 words our story was about 2 friends going to the forest and make a trap at bottom of  a tree. But the story was bit off by end. So we learned that, Without communication we cannot predict what others are thinking. Communication is a must to do a task successfully. If something is not yet done completely and we don't know how to fix that, it will get end up like a mess.

Air Plane

AIRPLANE In our PPD session we did a new activity, by getting into 2 groups. The task was to make the highest number of airplanes by the given 6 papers within 20 minutes. At the begining we had around 3 minutes to plan our strategy. And the objective was to fly those airplanes over the given length.  lives by  We made 29 planes and number of planes flied over the margin is 17. Our group didn't win but we learned so many things to our lives by this small activity. Some of our group members didn't know how to make the planes, so the other members taught them. The things we gained, Team working skills Do a task successfully in given time period Dedicate small tasks among members focus on our objective and how to achieve it. Do the trails to have an idea about the environment as well. 

LOOKS BACK

LOOKS BACK We had our PPD (Personal Progress Development) sessions throughout this year. As a first year software engineering student I learned and achieved many things for my life. We have done so many activities to develop our skills and we also learned how to have a positive attitude towards things.      Those PPD sessions helped to improve self awareness, self esteem, talents,potential, social relations and achieve goals & many more.      Apart from this we done so many fun games and group activities to build our team spirit ,decision making, to improve leadership skills and to learn about how to work as a team. Barter Puzzle

In our PPD session we did an activity to solve a Barta puzzle. In the beginning we were divided into 3 groups and i was in the group 2. The leader of the each given group and one other member taken by the instructor and she gave a magazine paper for each and every group leader. She instructed to cut the whole paper into 100 different shapes with the help of the assistant. After that she collected 10 pieces from each group and mixed those pieces and gave 10 pieces back for each group randomly. within a time frame we had to solve the puzzle and also collect our missing pieces from other groups. We learnt lot of things by this activity, To work as a group. To analize things. To face unexpected situations. To help others. How to negotiate with different kinds of people.

LIFE GOALS

Life Goals Goal is something that you are trying to do or trying to achieve. To achieve your goal, define it believe it write it down split it up review it schedule it make it happen!! For our personal Progress and development session we did an achieving set our future goals. we wrote our goals on a bristle board and presented to our collegues. They are 1-Personal Goals 2-Academic Goals 3-Professional Goals The time frame was 20 minutes to set them and the other thing was we had to write the time, when we expect to achieve those goals in future. Personal Goals 1-Build a house 2-Buy a car 3-Have 3 kids and live my life happily Academic Goals 1-Complete my degree without repeating 2-Do a MSc in software engineering field Professional Goals 1-Be a software engineer in a leading company 2-Work abroad atleast 2 years.

Lava River & Stand On The Paper

Lava River This activity can stimulate insights ground problem solving,strategy,challenging,collaboration, team work,communication,mutual support and encouragement. How To Play You have given 5 A4 sheets. each team has to have 7-8 members. The team has to cross the river within the given time and no players can touch the river. If you lose the contact with the board it will be swept away by the instructor and leaving you with less boards. We crossed the river one time without any time limit, but when we cross again we had a time limit and had some on the river which we had touch them and collect marks and go to the other side as a whole team.
