Trust Walk

Image
We did an interesting activity on our PPD(personal progress and development) session, it was called "Trust Walk". We were instructed to find a partner for this activity. Then we went to the upper side of the lecture room with our partner. After that had to cover eyes of one of the member in a pair. We had to guide our blindfolded partner through the front of the hall to the outside e=without touching her/him. It was hard to guide because many obstacles were there including some stairs as well. When it is my turn to get blindfolded I was feeling nervous because it was scary but we had a great fun. We did our task well until the end.  We learned many good things for our life from this activity. Some of them are mentioned below, how to overcome obstacles by taking the right decision how to communicate effectively listening and obey your partner  how to build trust according to the situation how to work collaboratively to achieve a goal adjusting to t...

The Expert Game Last week on our PPD session we did an interesting game. We were divided into five groups and asked about our expert area individually by our madam. After identifying the expert areas of all our group members, we had to bend our expertise areas to make a simple product by combining three of them. Our group members had expertise areas such as gaming, dancing, cooking, playing cricket, taekwondo, painting etc. Among these areas we chose taekwondo, gaming and painting. So far, the given time we came up with our product. It was a game, play using taekwondo skills. The winner will get a nice painting. It was  a multiplayer game. From this activity we learnt how to bend the expertise areas of our group members to give out a creative product.   Pen and Thread     We did another game after above activity. We were divided into same groups as before and were provided a paper, thread, pen and a gum tape for every group. Usi...

We got the basic idea about technical writing from the introduction. We did a small activity to test our skills. After another two or three presentations we got a good knowledge about technical writing, aspects, career paths, how to do technical writing etc. Then we were divided into groups and did an activity regarding what instructions should be given to a customer who is using an ATM machine for the first time to withdraw money from his/her savings account. The wining group got t-shirts. After refreshments we had a great fun by doing an object guessing game. We had to guess the objects which were described by other teams...
