Visit to WSO2
Visit to WSO2 A Technical Writing session was organized by our University. It was held on 12 th September at WSO2, a leading software company in Sri Lanka. That was the first time I ever visited a software company. Environment of the company was very friendly. We went to their hall which was named as area 51. Everywhere was very colorful and calm. We got the basic idea about technical writing from the introduction. We did a small activity to test our skills. After another two or three presentations we got a good knowledge about technical writing, aspects, career paths, how to do technical writing etc. Then we were divided into groups and did an activity regarding what instructions should be given to a customer who is using an ATM machine for the first time to withdraw money from his/her savings account. The wining group got t-shirts. After refreshments we had a great fun by doing an object guessing game. We had to guess the objects which were described by other teams...
